New Government regulations regarding Covid-19 (updated 12/04/21)

The safety of our guests and team members is our top priority. In order to keep everyone safe we are only able to accept bookings of a maximum of x6 people or 2 households.

Children and infants are included in the maximum number per booking.

To support the NHS Test and Trace service, we will be asking our customers to download the free NHS Covid-19 app. It is a vital part of the NHS Test and Trace service in England & Wales.  The app has a number of tools to protect you, including contact tracing, local area alerts and venue check-in. Upon arrival at Shanghai Modern, a QR-code will be available for you to scan. It uses proven technology from Apple and Google, designed to protect every user’s privacy.

All customers are asked to wear face coverings when entering the venue and at all other times, except when seated at their table.

At Shanghai Modern, we are passionate about your safety against Covid-19. Here are just some of the things we have implemented to minimise any risks to our customers and staff:

-Our tables inside the restaurant are at least 2m apart from each other.

- We now have outdoor dining space (located 1m+ apart).

- Our cutlery are washed and packed in sealed plastic bags.

- We use paper cups instead of traditional teapots and tea cups to help minimise the transmission of COVID-19.

-The restaurant, restrooms and kitchen are thoroughly cleaned throughout the day.

-All our staff members wear face coverings throughout their shift.

- Customers and staff are directed to use the hand-gel stations upon arrival.

-Our entrance is separate from our exit door to minimise face to face interactions.

We thank you for your cooperation.
